mothercoat are no strangers to US soil having visited twice including a showcase at SXSW in 2007. Similar to the great Zoobombs, mothercoat have achieved moderate success in Japan but have developed a greater cult following in the US and UK.
Their music and dry sense of humor seem too quirky and sophisticated for Japanese ears but perfectly accessible and infectious to indie listeners in the West. Despite an oustanding collection of studio recordings, mothercoat is best known for their confident and exhilarating live performances.
